Hospitality and entertainment veteran Tim Jorgensen joined the Austin team of Opry Entertainment Group as vice-president of operations.
In his new position, Jorgensen will direct the companies of Block 21 of OEG, notably ACL Live, 3ten and W Austin in Austin, and will provide a strategic orientation for the entire Block 21 complex, as well as direct monitoring of daily operations in ACL Live and 3ten. Jorgensen will be a matter of Gary ScottOperation chief at Opry Entertainment Group.
Jorgensen comes to OEG d’Asm Global, where he managed a range of arenas, stages, congress centers and theaters, and played a decisive role in the launch of the Thunder Ridge Nature Arena. He was also president of Crew One Productions, a production company at full service, where he directed strategic acquisitions and supervised the festival division. His career also includes leadership roles at Live Nation and House of Blues Entertainment, where he was responsible for managing several sites in the Southwest region.
