Houston, Texas (Ktrk) – A new study by the University of Houston shows what entertainment options want, and industry experts reveal that this could help investors make a reality.

Houston has had its filling of entertainment options in the past, from Astroworld chills to comets and WNBA in professional hockey with Eros.

However, these are entertainment options that can only be found in older videos. Now, a new survey shows that Houstonians would like these options to come back.

“Having a female sport would be fun,” said Astrid Ybarra. “To get my daughter, and I also have an eldest daughter, who is 17 years old, involved.”

“At the time I was younger, we had Astromld,” said Miguel Garcia. “Now that my children grow up, I would like to see the same thing.”

The University of Houston leisure school led the study. He shows that 57% want a NHL team, 60% want a team from Houston WNBA, and the most popular entertainment option was a theme park.

“A large proportion, more than half, say that they would go once a year,” said Mark Jones, a stock market at the Baker Institute of Rice University, said Mark Jones. “If you go down to parents with children under the age of 18, 40% have said that they would go twice a year, if not more.”

These results have made their way to experts from the theme park industry, especially Theme International Park Services The founder Dennis Speigel.

“It’s not a surprise,” recalls Speigel.

He works with themed parks across the country. Speigel said the U of H study could encourage investors to take a closer look at Houston.

“The next step would be to hire an organization to do a feasibility study that would develop the economy and the measures for the size of a park,” said Speigel.

Speigel said he knew the groups that plan Houston.

A place where 13 investigations discovered almost landed as a park five years ago. The former mayor of Houston, Sylvester Turner, pushed a park.

The emails obtained by ABC13 reveal that he had to make a theme announcement, but it was re -staged a few days before the pandemic.

Speigel said that due to the growing population of Houston, there is always an appetite and that it would not be surprised if we returned to Houston in the next five years.

“If you are going to build one, you want to put it on the market that can facilitate it and serve it, and Houston is one of these remaining markets,” said Speigel.

This is only one of the few options that Houstonians say they would like to see in real life, instead of only memories of the old video.
