Searcy, ark. – Harding University Men’s Basketball Men Wyatt Gilbert Was appointed to the academic team of the Sports Community college (CSC), the organization announced on Tuesday. The university teams of all the districts recognize the best students in the country for their exceptional achievements in class and in the field.
Gilbert, a main goalkeeper from Mountain Home, Arkansas, maintained a stellar cumulative weighted average while contributing to bison. He specializes in marketing and has a 4.00 GPA.
On the field this season, Gilbert was a significant presence for bison, with an average of 6.8 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. His leadership and performance played a decisive role in the fact that Harding won the Great American Conference Tournament 2025 championship. He has an average of 10.3 points per game during the harding tournament.
To be nominated for academic honors of all districts, students-athletes must have a cumulative weighted average of at least 3.50, must have participated in at least 90% of the team matches and must be at least one second year academic and athletic year.
Gilbert’s recognition marks the honor of all Cosida / CSC academic districts for the Harding male basketball team. Samuel Henderson obtained the honor in 2023-24.
