The Wyoming Valley West school district had 14 students presenting projects at the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science regional meeting. More than 500 students from the seventh to 12th year of 36 different schools participated in the event held at Wilkes University.

The following students won the following prizes in the mathematics category: first prize with score Perfect and the Junior High Excellence Award: Jonathan Bolan, eighth year. First prizes with perfect scores: Emily Bolan, 11th year; Parker Cardillo, 10th year; Payton Cardillo, 10th year; Yara Khatib, ninth year; Savannah refuses Franco, ninth year; Madison Stanislow, ninth year; Julia Levalley, eighth year. First prizes: Gavin Chu, seventh year; Patrick Schneider, seventh year; Sam Whalen, seventh year; Justine Alapack, eighth year; Emmanuel Dagdag, ninth year. Second prize, Ariel Chu, 11th year.
