Ryan Jay: I obtained a job at Jerry Springer through a friend who worked there as a producer associated with Chicago, and it was when the Springer program started beating Oprah in the notes and climbed the ladder as a n ° 1 series in day television. And the fights were real, I will stop you just before even asking the question. This is the first question that everyone asks; The fights were real.
Libby Collins: What kind of things happened behind the scenes?
Ryan Jay: Well, I signed a non -divulgation agreement, and I will say –
Libby Collins: Is it still in force?
Ryan Jay: Yes, so I don’t like talking too much. But if you look at a product, it is the result of the people who work there. And so, in order to create a certain type of product and the product that had become known as trash television, which took behind the scenes to create this type of programming, you can then connect the points to what the environment could have been behind the scenes.
Libby Collins: You mentioned the red carpets and you covered a lot. What’s behind the scenes?
Ryan Jay: So, the red carpets, I’m going to tell you one of the first – it was perhaps the first time that I would attend the Critic’s Choice Awards, and I had the privilege of covering the red carpet while interviewing some of the stars when they enter and walking on the red carpet. And there is a very short turnaround to throw my equipment in the car and run in the prize -cereal show and get to my headquarters for the start of the show. And one of these moments while I rushed very quickly, I do not know why, by the grace of God in a place like Hollywood, when I heard the crowd – because at the time, they had stands, you know, riots with the crowd, they did not do so much of that – celebrity routing while they were walking. And I did not hear everyone walking around “Ryan, Ryan, and Ryan, and I am not. I turned around and I placed myself in the chest of Ryan Gosling and I lowered myself, and everything I could think was:” My name is Ryan too. “
