CANYON, Texas — Austin-area enthusiasts are invited to raise a pint with their fellow West Texas A&M University graduates.
The WT Alumni Association and the Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business will jointly host a social event at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 30 at Zilker Brewing Co., 1701 E. Sixth St. in Austin.
“We are proud to see WT alumni thriving in cities like Austin,” said Ronnie Hall, executive director of the WT Alumni Association. “This event provides a great opportunity for WT alumni to not only reconnect with other Buffs, but also strengthen their ties to the Egler College of Business.”
Dr. Robert A. King, associate dean of undergraduate business programs, said Engler College is “excited” to partner with the Alumni Association.
“We are excited to bring together our accomplished graduates to celebrate their success and reconnect with our Buff community,” King said. “It’s inspiring to see how far our alumni have come, and we’re excited for the opportunity to network, share stories and continue building a strong WT legacy.”

Strengthening existing and creating new alumni relationships is a key mission of the University’s long-term plan, WT 125: From the enclave to the world.
This plan is fueled by the historical context A West a global fundraising campaign, which reached its initial goal of $125 million 18 months after its public launch in September 2021. The campaign’s new goal is to reach $175 million by 2025; currently, it has raised over $160 million.
