Two colleges in a higher education establishment in the Dayton Leader region are entering the next academic year with a new leadership.
The Wright State University announced the appointment of two dean level positions in the two main schools of study of the university: the College of Health, Education and Human Services and the Raj Care College of Business.
Marty Sexton, Permanent Dean of the College of Health, Education and Human Services

Marty Sexton was appointed dean of the College, Education and Human Services College of Wright State University.
The first appointment is from Marty Sexton to the Permanent Doyen post of the College of Health, Education and Human Services of the Wright State University, with immediate effect.
“I am inspired by the fact that our six schools prepare students for careers that directly help communities to prosper,” she said. “Our graduates are in great demand and enter fulfilling professions where they really make a difference.”
Sexton is acting dean of the College of Health, Education and Human Services since January 2025. She succeeds Jim Deniston, who was recently appointed vice-president of academic and provost affairs.
Sexton intends to use Wright State’s growing partnership with first health to offer more clinical and field investments for students, and sees significant growth potential thanks to local partnerships, especially in behavioral health and children’s well-being.
“I can’t wait to continue working with Dr. Sexton when she heads the college to prepare students for hardying careers in aviation, education and leadership, health and exercise sciences, nursing, professional psychology and social work and human services,” said Deniston.
She joined the Wright State’s College of Health, Education and Human Services in 2022, as Director of Nursing and Liaison of Academic Partnership with the first Health, Director of Interprofessional and Dean Associate. Sexton was also president and dean partner of academic affairs of the College of Nursing of the University of Toledo.
Sexton obtained his baccalaureate in nursing care from Bowling Green State University, a master’s degree in health care health care health of the Medical College of Ohio, and finished his doctorate in higher education from the University of Toledo.
Dawn Conway, temporary dean and executive in residence of the Raj Care College of Business

Dawn Conway, former director of the state of Wright and president and chief executive officer of Boost Commitment, agreed to serve as a dean and an interim executive in residence of the Raj Care College of Business.
In the middle of the upcoming retirement of Dean Donald Hopkins, at the end of June, Dawn Conway, former administrator of the Wright State University, agreed to serve as a dean and temporary executive in residence of the Raj Care College of Business, from August 4.
“I am honored to continue my service at the Wright State University in this new role as an interim dean of the Raj Care College of Business, where I witnessed the remarkable motivation and potential of our students,” said Conway. “The state of Wright plays a vital role not only in the training of the next generation of business leaders, but also in the conduct of innovation and economic growth throughout our region.”
Conway sat on the board of directors of the Wright State University from 2021 to April 2025, especially as vice-president during the academic year of 2024-2025.
She is also the president and chief executive officer of Boost Commitment, a company belonging to women providing commitment products for employees and brand goods. In this role, she oversees leadership and execution of companies through the company’s brands portfolio.
She was also chief of the Cisional Exploitation and held key management positions at Lexisnexis, where she worked in corporate responsibility, global licenses, commercial development, sales and marketing.
“Dawn Conway brings the ideal combination of experience in corporate leadership and understanding of the mission of Wright State of its advisory service,” said Deniston. “Its in -depth links with our regional business community and its commitment to excellence will be huge assets at RAJ Care College of Business. We are fortunate to welcome his expertise in this role of crucial leadership. ”
Conway holds a Baccalaureate of Arts from the Regis College and a law diploma of California Western School of Law. She finished training in Wharton School from the University of Pennsylvania and the Reed Elsevier business leadership program.
Lawyer, she is a member of the DC Court of Appeal and former member of the working group on anti-human ABA. Conway has also sat on several art and communication commissions, including Dayton Art Institute and the International Association for the Measurement and Assessment of Communication.
Wright State will associate with a search firm to carry out national research for a permanent dean for the Raj Care College of Business this fall.
