High earth, ind. – The female athletics team of the IU Indianapolis continued to launch the outdoor season in an impressive way, recording 17 personal records at the Sacesetter Sports Invitational of the Indiana State on Saturday (March 29). Junior Morgan Treasure highlighted the efforts by breaking his own school record in the shot with a better throw of 11.08 m (36 ‘4.25’ ‘), breaking his best previous brand with two feet.

On the track, the day started with Mary Fritch And JULYNNE SPIDELL Both of personal records in the 5,000 m race. Fritch ranked sixth in the general classification with a time of 19: 10.03 while Spidell took 18 seconds from his best previous one with a series of 19: 25.41. In the 1,500 m event, Grace Bragg placed seventh in total with better personal time of 4: 46.50 and Wini Barnett was 12th with a personal record time of 4: 49.77. Freshman Julianna Crow also had a record time of 5: 02.08.

Second -year student Paige Laffigon led the 100m obstacle group with a time of 14.81, taking more than half a second of its best. The recruit Pashence Purnell also had a new personal record with a series of 15.23 seconds. The four Jaguar participants in the 100m Dash had new personal records, led by Freshman Jahzara MCALISTER time of 12.17 seconds. Behind her, Purnell (12.64), Skyler Sichting (13.18) and Jade Wiese (13.19) also had personal records.

The 200m Dash crew had similar destinies because the four entries had personal records conducted by the time of MCALISTER of 25.00 seconds. Day Howard ran 26,16, the Laffigon crossed 26.77 and Jada-Marie Davis RAN 27.74.

Wiese has displayed a new best of long jump with a better brand of 5.18 m (17 ‘0’ ‘), placing 14th in total and Shelby McGee obtained a top 10 in the javelin with a better throw of 30.06 m (98-7).

The Jaguars will be back in action on April 11 to 12 when they participate in the WE FLY challenge from Ball State in Muncie, ind.
