Roanoke, go. (WDBJ) – “When you are at the Haus, you are at home.”
It is the slogan for the newly reopened Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theater And Red Stag Restaurant and Lounge of Matterhorn.
And customers welcome him with open arms.
“It was absolutely incredible. We were first able to open the restaurant, ”explains Dylan White, sales and marketing director at Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theater.
With an original accent on musicals, Wohlfahrt Haus was the dream of its founder, Peggy Sutphin.
“It was a kind of passionate project of a woman named Peggy Sutphin, who was the matriarch of the Sutphin family. Peggy’s vision was a real Broadway in the mountains. Like a true and honest form, which you would get to New York, which you would get in Charlotte, except here in our small town in Wytheville, “explains White.
Sutphin died in 2021 and his family kept the theater to do a few more years.
Now Dr. Amanda Brewer-Lord, from the County of Wythe, is the new owners, and the curtain has increased again.
The comedy of the two acts “The stranger” Now light up the scene.
“It is a comedy, in a way a sort of, almost like a prasing style, in both directions, fast,” explains White.
The actors come from the whole country.
And there was a “who’s who” of artists who honored the scene of Wohlfahrt Haus in the past years.
“They passed the supremes once. They brought Hank Williams, Jr. The idea that we would be able to bring bigger artists to this small town is really an exciting opportunity for us and for the community, I think, “explains White.
