The Seahawks would not have exchanged the quarter-Arrière Geno Smith without a clear plan to replace it.
Currently, there are chatter in certain league circles that the plan could include a race to make a job.
The name to watch is Trevor Lawrence.
Yes, the Jaguars said they would not exchange it. (The Seahawks have essentially said the same thing about Smith.)
Here is a last nugget. When a report appeared last month that the Steelers called the Jaguars about Lawrence, we were told that it was not the Steelers who had called. It was the Seahawks.
If this happens, it will happen quickly. Help, we are told, is Sam Darnold.
So stay listening to it. And everything else.
But not on Twitter. Check PFT and Bluesky, until further notice.
