Monks, Iowa (Gray Media Iowa State Capitol Bureau) – Adam Gregg, who was the Lieutenant -Governor of Iowa for 7 and a half years, now hopes that his new role can help inform the iowans of the risks of financial fraud.
Gregg is now the President / CEO of Iowa Bankers Associationwhich represents more than 275 state financial institutions.
He warns that 57,000 Americans are victims of fraud per check each day and suffer losses of $ 430 million per day.
He recommends paying online instead of using checks. If you need to use checks, deliver them by hand whenever possible.
Use a marker to sign checks instead of ball stitch pens, as markers are more difficult to erase and replace for crooks, it also recommends.
Gregg advises iowans to check Practicesafechecks.com For more security advice.
