Located about 25 miles northwest of Aberdeen in the small town of Wetonka, C & M Homestead is a family business rooted in hard work and, according to its owners, a passion for a simple and intentional life.
C&M started in 2020, shortly after the birth of Cory co -owners and Morgan Schnell’s second son.

C&M bread collects fresh breads.
“As a new parent, I was on a mission to find soft and natural products for his sensitive skin. I had trouble finding a moisturizer made of ingredients that I felt confident,” Morgan Schnell told The News. “After some meticulous research, I created my first homemade product – a simple and nourishing body oil with natural and natural ingredients.”
Schnell discovered that her product worked, so she started to share it with her family and friends.
“Over time, this product has become our now natural body oil now popular – available in scented and non -scented varieties,” said Morgan Schnell. “It is always the only moisturizer that we have never used on our youngest, Oliver, and it is a basic food in our house for everything, dry skin and sunburn to the repoucte and the elimination of makeup.”

The trip did not stop there for the natives of Aberdeen.
Inspired by Tiktok videos and a “desire for clean ingredients”, Morgan Schnell began to cook bread with sourdoughs for his family. Two years ago, her husband, Cory Schnell, published a photo of one of his breads on Facebook, and the orders began to ride, transforming what started as a “quiet pastime into a flower business”.

“He grew up faster than what we expected – and we are very grateful for each song,” said Morgan Schnell.
Today, the family raises chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese and quail – and sells their eggs. You can find their chicken, duck and quail eggs with the food cooperative in natural abundance in Aberdeen. They also widened homemade offers to include elderberry syrup, magnesium mist, homemade vanilla and a variety of seasonings and spices. The couple have more products in progress.
Morgan Schnell says that each member of the family – Mason (16), Theodore (4) and Oliver (1) – plays a role, from market help to test new recipes.
