Allie, a 38 -year -old Bottleurs dolphin gave birth to the calf in the early hours of June 7 in Brookfield Zoo Chicago.
Zoo veterinarians estimate that the calf measures 33 to 37 pounds and 115-120 centimeters long.
A spokesperson for Zoon said: “Although they are very early, our animal care teams and our veterinary teams are watching Allie and its 24-hour calf for development milestones and both seem healthy on the basis of early observations.”
