Oklahoma City, OK – State Superintendent Ryan Walters released the following statement highlighting Oklahoma’s recipients of the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST). This is one of the highest awards an educator can receive.
“We have some of the best teachers in the country in Oklahoma, and we’re recruiting more every day. With the adoption of our new science standards, Oklahoma will become the national leader in science education. I am proud of the work these honorees have done to bring innovative solutions to science and math classrooms and help every Oklahoma student achieve academic success.

Each honoree receives a certificate signed by the President of the United States, a $10,000 award from the National Science Foundation, and joins a national cohort of award-winning teachers, providing the opportunity to impact education in the United States. national and national scale.
