Each qualification campaign of the Wales World Cup 2026 must be televised live on the BBC Cymru Wales.
Craig Bellamy aims to continue his good start of life as a chief coach of Wales by leading the male national team to what would be their second successive World Cup.
The BBC cameras will be there for each qualification of Wales while the national male team will return to television in free English and English for the first time since 2004.
The BBC broadcasting agreement also includes all the male international games in Scotland and Northern Ireland – the first time the broadcaster has obtained full live rights for the three devolved nations of the United Kingdom.
Wales will face Belgium, northern Macedonia, Kazakhstan and Liechtenstein in the J Cup qualification group J as they seek to obtain a place during the 2026 tournament, which is held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
They open the campaign against Kazakhstan at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday March 22 (19:45 GMT) – which will be broadcast on BBC One Wales and BBC Three and Welsh on S4C.
There will also be a live television coverage of the Wales BBC against Canada in Swansea on September 9.
All matches will be displayed on BBC One Wales.
The agreement adds to the existing live football coverage of the BBC Wales of the International Women’s team.
Rhuanedd Richards, director of the BBC Cymru Wales, said: “I am absolutely delighted that we have signed an agreement to bring the action of Wales matches to our screens.
“Craig Bellamy and the Cymru team are about to start a whole new campaign and I am so happy that the BBC Cymru Wales will be with them, bringing international football to fans across the country.”
After the opening of Kazakhstan, the second group game in Wales is in northern Macedonia three days later.
They then host Liechtenstein and went to Belgium in June before the return match with Kazakhstan in September.
During the international break in October, Wales had a friendly match against England in Wembley before a home qualification against Belgium.
Wales’ qualification group ends in November when they go to Liechtenstein before welcoming northern Macedonia.

The former striker of Wales Bellamy has not yet lost a match since he was appointed national boss on a four -year agreement In July 2024, after the dismissal of the former partner of the Rob Page team the previous month.
Bellamy’s Wales experienced a successful campaign of the League of Nations, which means that they have almost guaranteed at least a barrage place for the 2026 World Cup, even if they are fighting in their qualification group.
