The University of Nebraska – Lincoln will host the 41st annual National Olympiad Tournament from Scientific from May 23 to 24, and the organizers are looking for more volunteers for the event.

The event brings together teams from across the country – and an international team – for competitions in a variety of STEM domains, from anatomy to meteorology to physics and more. In addition to competition events, students can also participate in an exchange competition, a Flight Clinic at the National Free Flight Society and a STEM exhibition with presentations of industry professionals. They can also attend several out -of -site activities such as visits to the Henry Doorly, Kiewit Luminarium zoo or a starry evening at the branched oak observatory.
Volunteer possibilities include:
- Preparation of events – Help the planning, preparation and support of the campus leading to the event. Tasks may include administrative tasks, preparation of welcome packages or the distribution of items around the campus.
- Event assistance – Logistics assistance, such as guiding teams, setting up competition spaces or registration assistance.
- Campus ambassadors – Engage with students and their families, offering visits to campus and sharing ideas on academic and student life at the UNL.
