Surrey police investigate a violent incident in a restaurant in the Sullivan Heights district which was captured on the camera.
The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon in the Donair affair on 144 Street and 64 avenue, opposite the Sullivan Heights high school.
A mobile phone video published on social networks shows a man sitting at a restaurant table, before being approached and struck in the head with a chair, then hit several times.
“It’s a disturbing video, you can clearly see someone who would suffer from an apparent attack injury,” the spokesperson for the Surrey police service Ian Macdonald told Global News.
“At this point, we were told that there were obviously certain things that happened before video recording, so we will have to watch globally.”

Police think there was a kind of exchange between the man and a youngster preceding the attack.
Police have confirmed that the victim, who is an adult, suffered an eye in black butter and a bruised face.
Macdonald said that investigators had since spoken to a number of young people who were in the restaurant, including those who were “directly involved” in the incident, as well as their parents.
Police would not confirm if the young people were students of Sullivan Heights, but Macdonald said that investigators were working with the school district.
In a statement, the district said it was aware of the incident, but that it does not share information on any of its students.
“The security of our students and our school community is our top priority. Surrey schools do not tolerate or tolerate any act of violence against others, “said the district.
“The next immediate stages of the district include the support of the Surrey police service in their survey and to work with all the students and their affected families.”
Students Global News maintained, said, said that Donair restaurant is a popular lunch for the school community and described violence as off -character.
“It is honestly shocking and unacceptable,” said Alphonso Barrite, a 11th year student.
“I don’t think it should be tolerated, that’s not true,” added the 11th year student Krishan Dhanda.
