Senator Rosen condemned Trump’s collection rates and called for bipartisan opposition to them
Look at the complete remarks of Senator Rosen HERE.
Washington, DC – Today, the American senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) went to the Senate to strongly condemn the last rates between the sides of Trump, which is equivalent to a national sales tax for families. In her speech, senator Rosen focused on a letter she received from a owner of a small business in Reno describing the devastating impact that these prices will have on her business. It also highlighted the damage that additional prices will cause the state’s tourist economy.
You will find below extracts from Senator Rosen’s floor remarks:

More importantly, these prices, well, they are reckless and they will decimate companies across the country, and as I said, including in my great state of Nevada.
I have already heard of the owners of companies in Nevadans and Nevada who are concerned about how these new prices will have an impact on their businesses, their livelihoods, their families, including the founder of a small business in Reno.
He wrote to me. I will quote the letter. This is what he said: “We maintain a small production installation in Reno … These tasks will force us to increase the retail prices by 37%, and we do not think that our customers will accept this. This policy could erase us entirely.” End quote.
They continue by saying – I will quote again – “I do not ask for favor. I ask for leadership that reflects the urgency and the reality we face. These prices do not bring jobs back. They increase prices, punish small businesses and put the means of risky subsistence: (create jobs) while making our families as businesses. End quote.
And it is not only our small Nevada companies that will be the hardest affected, our families, our families are already pressed by high costs. They will see prices increase even more.
Let’s be clear: these prices, Trump prices, they are a national sales tax.
From your medicines to gas, including the grocery store you buy, republican prices will increase the costs of goods for working families across this country, things we have every day on.
The prices will also increase what you pay at the fuel pump. They will increase the price of building materials, which makes accommodation even more expensive.
Thanks to his national sales tax, Trump transmits higher costs to everyone, no matter where you live.
