On June 6, the American district court in the Northern District of California granted the final approval of house c. NCAA Settlement – launching a new era for university athletics.

This decision creates a basis for greater stability, equity and opportunities for student -athletes – and affirms what we, in Vanderbilt, has long believed: transformation, when it is based on mission and values, creates opportunities.

While we continue to build the major 21st century university, we are firmly remaining in our commitment to offer a student experience athlete of championship caliber which integrates academic and athletic excellence and strengthens our One Vanderbilt community.

The newly trained university sports commission, led by Bryan Seeley – Executive MLB, and a voice respected in sports law – and its partners, Deloitte and LBI, will be responsible for guaranteeing compliance and support institutions through this transition.

Although the regulations offer a clearer and more structured path, we will continue to work with our legislative partners on potential federal solutions which can provide long -term stability and coherence to the landscape of university athletics.

The key pillars of the new model include:

Income sharing: From the academic year of 2025-2026, dry, ACC, Big 12 and Big Ten establishments can share up to 22% of athletics revenues defined with students-athletes-estimated up to $ 20.5 million per school.

Scholarship extension: The limits of the graduates abolished, universities now have more flexibility to offer educational opportunities to a wider range of student-athletes through sport. The abolition of scholarships gives schools flexibility to better support student-athletes and their education, while supporting the long-term success of large-scale sports programs. Current and immediately incoming students who may have been affected by the limits of the list will always have the possibility of winning a list place.

Nile Conditions: The new NIL Go platform, managed by the College Sports Commission and its partners, Deloitte and LBI, will ration the reporting and approval process for third-party agreements-improving transparency while protecting the admissibility of student-athletes.

Our recent Launch of Vanderbilt Enterprises and appointment of Markus Schreyer as CEO Underline our desire to adopt innovative models that support excellence in education, research and athletics.

We also prepare for financial responsibility that comes with this new model and are concentrated on the conduct of strategic initiatives as Vandy United And advance the mission of Vanderbilt Athletics. With your support, we will continue to establish the standard in this new era.

This is a decisive period for university sports. Although many change, the essence of what athletics represents – community, growth, discipline, excellence – remain firmly intact.
We are ready to direct. And together, we will succeed.
