The operator of a ferry service between the island of Vancouver and the state of Washington says that he is sorry for having “involuntarily” increased the Canadian flag upside down when he entered the port of Victoria on Sunday.
The Black Ball Ferry Line, which manages a ferry between Victoria and Port Angeles, Washington, says that raising the flag on the approach of the port is part of a “routine practice”, and the error was “fixed immediately”.
