ESCANABA – Entertainment programming and activities of the annual annual annual 2025 state fair were announced on Wednesday at Island Resort and Casio in Harris.
The week of music, rides, games, shows and food returns to Up State Fairgrounds from August 11 to August 17. Grandstand’s entertainment includes a cornhole tournament on Monday. Musical acts are resuming the stage on Tuesday with the tribute group of the Beatles The Fab Four. On Wednesday, the Diamond Rio group is star entertainment. Thursday presents children snotty nose ground. Justin Moore performs on Friday with Pop Evil and Upw Uprising Wrestling finishing the Fair Week.
Hannahvile Tribal Council Chairman Kenneth Meshigaud took the floor during the event before the publication of the Fair details. The tribe is a partner of the UP State Fairgrounds.
Meshigaud said the tribe has always been proud to support and help activities in Delta County.
“We are all in the same way,” he said.
Mark Cowman, from the Delta County Chamber of Commerce, changed the event, covering every day of the week during the fair.
Before revealing the week’s calendar, a new trip to the fair was announced.
The Overdrive, created by Skerbeck Entertainment Group, with a raised deck and a rotation car will make its debut this year.
“It’s fast, it’s fun, it’s new, and it’s on Up State Fair halfway,” said Cowman.
There are a variety of free events in Midway, including extravaganza acrobat, promenade piano, bingo tent, robotics fair and martinez sand sculptures.

The week will start on Monday when the Fair Gates will open at 5 p.m., with the associate director of the Chamber Shelia Kruer will perform the national anthem.
After the anthem, guests will be entitled to a fun horses show, an acrobat extravagance and one of the most anticipated events: the short crown in the ring of beef.
The night ends with a corn hole tournament in the gallery.
“Encourage your favorite team while the bags fly over and warm up fun,” said Cowman.
Tuesday is “Chewsday”, where participating food sellers will offer samples and discounts.
Tuesday is also the sensory day at the fair, where the lights and sounds will be limited from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It is also an excellent day for animal lovers, according to Cowman, because there will be junior horse shows, market beef shows, the junior butcher’s cattle show and junior and rabbit shows.

After the event, the director of culture Hannahville, Molly Meshigaud, said that the involvement of the tribes was slightly different from that of the past years.

Hannahville is currently managing a program called Powwow Club, where six young people, girls or boys, aged 10 to 17, are currently working on their Powwow outfits for the Fair.
She also talked about the SNRK group and the importance of tribal members to be represented.
SNRK is a award -winning group of a smaller tribe than the Hannahville reserve.
“I think it’s a really powerful thing for our young people to see him on stage this year at the fair,” she said.
Over the past years, the tribe provided educational performance, but wanted to mix it for 2025.
