“This is an exciting opportunity for our male tennis program to play in the playoffs and reward our players for another excellent year,” said athletics director Janet R. Cone.
It will be the third episode of the tournament, with eight teams selected for male and female teams to form the support. The state of new-mexic, Chattanooga, North Carolina Central, Rider and Saint Mary’s.
UNC Asheville has a 12-9 sheet on the season and 2-1 in the Big South Conference, having finished second in the Big South Conference 2025 championship.
“Receiving this opportunity is special!” said head coach Matt Frost. “It gives us the opportunity to compete for a championship and continue the playoffs. I am grateful to UTR, it shows that we are a competitive program that goes in the right direction.”
The tournament will take place from May 7 to 9 in Rome, GA.
