Uconn Athletics to celebrate national girls and women during the sports day

Storrs, conn. – Uconn Athletics invites fans on campus on Saturday, February 8 to celebrate the national day of girls and women.

The event will focus on three events on the campus that day. First of all, all are welcome to attend the swimming and diving of women at noon in the Wolff-Zackin natorium. Entrance is free for all fans.

Fans are then encouraged to attend the female butt match at 1 p.m. at Morrone Stadium for the team’s opening at home. At the end of the game, there will be a meeting and greeting session with the team.

The culmination of the celebration will take place during the female hockey match at 7:30 p.m. at Toscano Family Ice Forum. Several UCONN women programs will be present at the game for a meeting and greeting and autograph session throughout the game. The first 500 fans present will receive a free rally towel “Uconn Women in Athletics”.

Fans interested in attending the women’s stock and / or female ice hockey games can buy tickets on uconntickets.com. Tickets start at $ 8 for general admission and $ 5 for young people for women for women and $ 9 for general admission and $ 6 for young people to women’s hockey. For more information on the special ticket pricing for parties of 10+, please call 860-486-8190. Fans with a female stock ticket can show their ticket to the female ice hockey ticket office for free admission, and vice versa.

These events are part of more than hundreds of other events that take place across the country for NGWSD. The day is devoted to the recognition of the progress of girls and women in sport and the advantages that sports and fitness activities can bring to the life of all girls and women.
