January 21, 2025 -DENTON- US News and World Report recognized online graduate programs in education and nursing and online bachelor’s degree programs in business at Texas Woman’s University as among the best in the country.
The recognition was announced this week in the 2025 “Best Online Programs” edition of the publication, which features rankings in various categories. American news takes several factors into account in its rankings, and all of its methodologies incorporate metrics that measure how well programs are designed for distance learners and how effective they are at delivering affordable degrees in a reasonable time frame.
Texas Woman’s online graduate programs in education were ranked in the top quartile of all online graduate degree programs in the country – and seventh out of 25 ranked Texas institutions. Among the specific metrics in which graduate programs were evaluated, TWU ranked 33rd nationally for “Services and Technology” and 58th for “Student Excellence.”
TWU’s online graduate nursing programs have been ranked in the top half of similar programs nationwide. And online business bachelor’s degree programs rank in the top half of undergraduate business programs nationwide.
Additionally, TWU’s Merrilee Alexander Kick College of Business and Entrepreneurship is on the list of top online MBA programs in the country.
For its 2025 edition, the publication evaluated nearly 1,800 online bachelor’s and master’s programs at regionally accredited institutions.
