The bodies of two people were found Tuesday morning in a submerged vehicle in Moncton, according to a New Brunswick fire official.
The vehicle at Halls Creek was first reported to local firefighters around 9:20 a.m., after the tides had receded enough to reveal it.

Platoon Chief Brian McDonald of the Moncton Fire Department said water and technical rescue teams had to wade through the rushing waters to check if anyone was inside.
Once the occupants were confirmed dead, attention shifted to recovering the vehicle.
McDonald said the vehicle was deep in the creek and both banks were icy, making it difficult to access the car.
He says the RCMP used a drone to search the banks of the river to ensure there were no other victims.
