Expansion of Roadhouse Cinemas is underway with hopes of a grand opening in March.

The Tucson restaurant and dining room has expanded into the former Bed Bath and Beyond space next door to the Crossroads Festival shopping center at East Grant and North Swan roads.

Roadies, as the new space will be called, will have spark bowling, laser tag, interactive darts, giant screens in a sports bar and more than 100 arcade games, said co-owner Scott Cassell.

Roadhouse has just rented larger office space for its staff in the center from its owner, Larsen Baker.

When Roadies opens, it is expected to add between 40 and 50 employees.

Famous local muralist Joe Pagac painted the new mural.

“Our intention is to make it the biggest and best the southwest has to offer,” Cassell said.
