For President Trump, it’s – to borrow a sentence – a big and good week.

A Favorable division of the Supreme Court On Friday, Trump prompted to hold an impromptu press conference, capping a few days with high issues for his presidency.

“It’s a great day,” he concluded. “We had a big week. We won a lot of victories this week.”

While he has praised the victories, several questions remain unresolved. What is happening over the next 10 days at the national level and abroad, could come to define the presidency of Trump.

“The president concludes peace agreements, tax agreements, trade agreements,” said Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent in Capitol Hill earlier this week. “He therefore concluded a peace agreement. I think we will have the tax agreement by July 4, then we will be able to finish with commercial transactions.”

Hogan Gidley, who served in the first Trump administration and is now a main advisor to the chamber president, said he couldn’t think of a moment from the first mandate that was as important as what is happening now.

“Each day, it’s just a heart rate in a hospital. It’s like, from top to bottom, from top to bottom all day,” said Gidley. “And I cannot find a time also filled with pressure in the previous administration that we are dealing at that time, even if I am sure there were many.”

Here are Trump’s victories and challenges this week:

Win: Decision of the Supreme Court on national injunctions.

Friday, the Supreme Court made a decision that makes much more difficult for opponents of the administration to quickly end the executive actions which, according to them, are illegal.

The decision comes from a case on the decree of Trump calling at the end of the citizenship of the birth law in the United States, while the judges did not prove to be if the order is constitutional, they said that the national break – known as an injunction – was an exaggerated overcoming of the lower courts.

The United States Supreme Court

“This morning, the Supreme Court won a monumental victory for the Constitution, the separation of powers and the rule of law,” said Trump in the White House information room on Friday.

Trump had to face more than two dozen national injunctions against executive actions over everything, from the end of the citizenship of the right of birth Reinstallation of refugees and freeze federal funding. Now he says that the manner has been eliminated for his administration to advance.

Trump and other members of his administration argue that the judges of the lower courts have wrongly blocked the president and therefore the will of the American people.

With this decision, the balance of powers is now tilted in favor of the president.

More victories: NATO’s commitments and the ceasefire of Israel-Iran

Throughout the week, the Trump administration had many praise for American strikes on Iranian nuclear installations and the ceasefire between Iran and Israel that followed.

The president is do not move Since his early assertion that Iran’s nuclear program has been completely erased, and on Friday he said that he did not think that Iran would come back to try to build nuclear weapons. However, this is far from certain. Evaluations of what has been really destroyed is still in progress.

A more unreserved victory is what happened at the NATO summit, which Trump attended The Hague earlier this week. Member States have agreed to spend more money on defense, which Trump has done for a long time.

Its long date Skepticism about the Alliance seemed to melt accordingly. This does not hurt that at one point, the secretary general of NATO seemed awkwardly and perhaps accidentally refer to Trump as “dad” – a moment when the White House Trump seemed Unable to let go.

Challenge: unfinished commercial transactions

When Trump attacked his so-called reciprocal rates earlier this year, he set a deadline for July 8 to have dozens of commercial transactions. Until now, a single agreement has been signed, sealed and delivered, and many others are in limbo.

He announced on Friday in an article on Truth Social that he interrupted all trade negotiations with Canada about his new digital services tax, which would affect major American technological companies.

He also said this week that the United States had entered into an agreement with China, but it turned out to be a step forward on a framework, rather than a finalized agreement.

The members of his office said for months that agreements with other countries such as India, South Korea and Japan were fast.

The trucks loaded with containers move to a port in Shanghai, China, June 9.

As July 8 is getting closer, Trump vacillates. This traffic jam is a problem Created, and with a pen of his pen, he could change it.

It is difficult to say whether it is a strategic uncertainty or a simple uncertainty.

Chris Whipple, an expert from Chiefs of Staff of the White House, said Trump is reactive and instinctive, which has led his success on the campaign track. But now he said, crises accumulate.

“You know, it looks like a decisive moment,” said Whipple. “One thing that is clear, six months later, is that the shock and fear, supposedly, is simply not an effective governance formula.”

Challenge: the fate of “one big beauty bill”

The Chamber adopted the main bill on Trump taxes and policies, but there were slowdown in the Senate. This process is underway, and it is not clear if it will pass or if this version can go through the house.

Trump wants an invoice signature celebration to coincide with independence day. Chamber Mike Johnson, R-La., Said it would be epic. But planning marriage before commitment can be risky, and it is difficult to say at the moment if Trump will obtain the party he wants on the date that he wishes.

As a reminder, he calls it the “One Big Beautiful Bill” because it essentially combines its entire legislative program in a single package. Trump has a lot to drive on this legislation, not only tax reductions and promises he has made like no tax on advice, but also financing the application of immigration he needs in order to maintain his mass deportation commitment.

Gidley said that each Republican Congress included the gravity of this moment.

“If they cannot deliver the very thing that has put them in office, there will be a big problem with their re-election chances,” he said.

Trump was supposed to go to his golf club in Bedminster, NJ instead, he stayed at DC to monitor the action on Capitol Hill and to twist the weapons if necessary.
