President Donald Trump Signed an executive decree to protect the Americans from “scalp of operating tickets” in the concert and entertainment industry, Fox News Digital learned.
The president Signed the order Monday evening at the Oval Office. Kid Rock joined the president for the signature ceremony.
The president’s decree orders the Federal Trade Commission to work with the Attorney General to ensure that competition laws are applied in the concert and entertainment industry.

The order also applies the best law on online ticket sales (BOTS) and promoting its application by the state protection authorities.

The President’s prescription also guarantees the transparency of prices at all stages of the ticket purchase process, including on the secondary ticketing market; And will evaluate and, if necessary, will take by implementing measures to prevent “unfair, deceptive and anti -competitive driving” on the secondary ticketing market.
The President’s ordinance also directs the Attorney General and the Secretary of the Treasury to ensure that the ticket scalpers operate in full compliance with the Internal income code and other laws.
Under the ordinance, the Treasury Department, the DOJ and the FTC will publish a report within 180 days summarizing the measures taken to approach the issue of unfair practices in the Concerts and Entertainment Industment industry and recommend additional regulations or legislation necessary to protect consumers.

The order comes after President Trump on the campaign campaign, promised to work to combat high ticket prices. During the campaign, the president described the current system where fans are “very unhappy”.

“Ticket scalpers use robots and other unfair means to acquire large amounts of facial value tickets, then start them again with a huge increase in the secondary market, consumers who spoil themselves and deprive fans of the opportunity to see their favorite artists without incurring extraordinary expenses,” said a White House official. “According to some reports, fans paid up to 70 times the nominal value of a ticket price to get a ticket.”
The manager added that when this happens, the artists “receive no additional profit – this only goes to the scapper and the ticketing agency”.

“Anyone who has bought a concert ticket in the last decade, perhaps 20 years, whatever your policy, knows that it is an enigma,” said Kid Rock on Monday. “If you buy a 100 dollars ticket when you check it, it is 170. Kid Rock explained that artists “see none of this money”.
