After more than nine years of power, Trudeau announced his resignation as Prime Minister and leader of the Liberal Party in January.
He confirmed that he would not present himself to re -election as a deputy, but remains a deputy until the elections are called.
Trudeau’s decision to resign came after a year of decrease in the elections for liberals and growing calls from the Liberal Caucus to retire.
