GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman Track & Field will return to Gainesville, Fla., on Friday at the Alachua Sports Complex for the RADD Sports Invitational. The event will begin at 7:00 a.m. on January 24 and will continue until Saturday, January 25.

The Wildcats competed in the event last year and had a Junior first place finish Tyler Washington in the shot put as well as several other top tens.
The competition will be conducted in accordance with NCAA rules. No age adjustments will be made to the events. Masters athletes may only enter designated Masters events for that event. All running events will be run as heats against time finals, with the exception of the 60m and 60m hurdles. The fastest seed heat will work first. In horizontal jumps and throws, the top 9 qualifiers will advance to the final. For seeding purposes, the 2022-2025 TFRRS marks will be considered. Placement in heats/flights will be at the discretion of the competition management staff.
The Alachua County Sports Complex @ Celebration Pointe. The Jimmy Carnes track is a 6 lane banked track with 8 Mondo lanes on the Sprints track. It also has 2 elevated horizontal jump runways, 1 elevated pole vault runway, 1 cage throw with landing zone, 1 circle throw with landing zone and a high jump zone on the sprint routes . The facility also has 2 warm-up lanes on the east side of the building near the clerk area.
Last week, Bethune-Cookman completed track and field in her third indoor meet of the season at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational and saw fifteen Wildcat participants finish in the top ten in their respective events.
