Chris Proctor was trying to bring something different in the county of Summit when he presented the Pika Timeless Tapisse room in Silverthorne in March 2024. He wanted a unique commercial model that involved a namesake that would ring a bell for the inhabitants.
The water hole received its name from one of Proctor’s favorite animals, the Pika, after discovering a while doing a hike with its best friend and trading partner, Ben Staley.
A PIKA is considered one of the most difficult animals in North America by wildlife biologists. The tiny mammal is one of the only mammals in North America which is capable of living all their lives on a field with high alpine content without hibernation. Something that the pair likes about the animal is that its key to survival is to find power in number. These mammals stick to their family units and fiercely protect themselves.
Its place has a self-service wall with around twenty drinks on the project that runs where customers can load money on a map and help themselves, a model that had not previously existed in Summit. All of this helped the establishment win the best new company in the Best of Summit 2024 competition.
He said community support was reassuring for a business owner for the first time.
“We have only had positive comments. Since we opened, people have come and say they love the concept,” he said.
The charges of the bathroom near the ounce for their drinks on the project, and the prices vary from $ 0.25 to $ 1.66 per ounce. He also has cocktails and ciders that run on the project in addition to having gluten -free and alcohol -free options.
On Fridays and Saturdays, it is open from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday to Thursday, it is open from noon to 8 p.m. Proctor said that the hours could change seasonally.
THE Carpet carpet is in the Silverthorne outlets at 167 Wildernest Road East. For more information, visit Tirsypika.com.
