There is no doubt in my mind that Wacom makes the best tools For modern digital artists who specialize in a number of different disciplines. Myself, in my day work, I am a video editor. I have been playing with all mounting software under the sun for more than a decade now. I started to make short films and sketches at university on Final Cut and I finally went to my professional career rooted in Adobe Premiere. But hardly, I tried to personalize my way of working.

Over the years, I met publishers, older and more experienced than me, swears by the Wacom tablet and how it helped them do their job more quickly and more efficiently. I would try to make a quick rotation with their configuration, but it is never glued.

Flash-Forward until 2025 and I have my hands (or, more precisely, “hand”) on Intuos Pro from Wacom and the pro Pen 3. The duo makes an excellent first impression. The tablet is thin, with a smooth matt surface while the pen has a counterweight which allows it to rest in your hand. The software and hardware are configured in a few minutes and with the possibility of connecting the tablet to your computer via USB-C, you could be operational even faster.

The average version of Intuos Pro offers two dials and two sets of directional buttons. These responsive and discreet tools can be personalized to adapt to any number of creative workflows. In addition, the subsequent purchase and recording of a tablet will allow you to access free tests for software to launch your digital art creation trip.

When it was time to put a pen on paper (word game), I found myself sliding and making mistakes that I would never make with a keyboard and mouse configuration. Images moved to Première would lead to Misclic after Misclic which spammed command + Z. I could almost immediately say that it was going to take a while to get used to it. With the rapid rectification times of work, it meant that I had to learn to use intuos pro a parascolory activity.

I decided to change things and use the free trial to cut the studio paint that had been offered to me. In no case would I call myself an artist, especially with regard to drawing or painting, so I did what I did when I learned to draw alone when I was a child. I traced. I removed a png of pikachu on the internet, created a clip layer, made this translucent layer and tried to imitate line work using intuos pro and pro pen. My hand was trembling, imprecise and my lines were more wavy than I had planned.

Finally, I was able to do something That I was satisfied with, even if my ego was a little bruised and my painful wrist. I did not decided to become a great artist overnight. I know it takes time. It takes time to develop skills and confidence, to do something that will make you happy. Artists spend years studying and perfecting their profession to do what they do.

And that is the type of artist to which the Intuos Pro and Pro Pen 3 of Wacom are for. They are for the qualified artist, who have an in -depth knowledge of the theory and tools at their disposal, and who want to move into the digital space intuitively. For a beginner like me, the learning curve can be too steep.

At the same time, I did a small AB test with my iPad Pro, a knob, and the procreation application. I traced a photo that I had taken from a bizarre bird that I saw, and the results were not far from the Pikachu I had made. The lines are still trembling, but the separate ovular bird was always returned to my taste. The biggest difference here was the speed at which I was able to make the bird. For a novice like me, it looked like an ideal place to start a drawing hob, sketch or paint with ease and portability.

It must be said, I think there is not RIGHT way of working. If you want to dive your toe and make scratches like me, take the road that you find the least friction.

For the experienced artist, however, it is difficult not to recommend the Intuos Pro Wacom. Wacom is THE Name in digital art, it therefore seems inevitable that you met with their products while you make this trip. If you have the time and the desire to learn, the depth provided directly from the box by Wacom is the best way to invest in yourself.
