I am Rob McCartney. If it is approved, this will allow the Astro and the Astro amphitheater to simplify alcohol licenses for outdoor shows. Ketv Newswatch Seven’s. Pete Cuddihy is there with the latest impacts of a change. Pete. That’s right. The mayor of La Vista, Doug Kindig, told me that so far the sellers have had to request temporary alcohol permits. This was problematic because the Astro limited designated special licenses. Transforming downtown Vista into an entertainment center would facilitate the sale of alcohol. The Astro currently has an alcohol license, but must use a different special license for each event under an alcohol license, you are only allowed to use 12 special designated licenses per year. Become an entertainment center would modify the license and allow the Astro not to use special designated licenses. Under an alcohol license, you are only authorized many STMs per year. They therefore encountered these problems, they did not have enough sales for the year. So we create the entertainment district to clarify it all. Astro currently has an alcohol permit but must use a different special license for each event. Under an alcohol license, you are only allowed to use 12 special designated licenses per year.
