Susan SenkA veteran entertainment publicist and marketing director who worked on more than 400 cinematographic campaigns, died on April 5 in Manhattan.
She was a survivor of 17 -year -old cardiac transplantation.
SenK began in the music industry before moving on to cinematographic advertising, where it has become a respected figure in the national and international markets.
In a part of the original start-up team of Vestron Video, she then moved to London as vice-president of creative services for Vestron International, where she supervised the expansion of the company on foreign markets and leading international marketing for her video outings.
SenK returned to the United States where she was vice-president of advertising and promotion at Vestron Pictures, developing liberation and reward campaigns for the theatrical titles of the company, including “Dirty Dancing” of 1987, the most profitable independent film of her time with $ 213 million in the world.
She was then vice-president of international advertising and promotion for Columbia Tristar Film Distributors International (Sony) in Los Angeles, then founded Susan Senk PR in New York. Recently, she worked as a consultant to the International Festival for Sony Pictures International Releasing.
Longtime member of the Academy of Arts and Cinema Sciences, Senk was also a former member of the Registration Academy.
She is survived by her trading partner and sister, Linda Senk Altman and her brother-in-law, Scott Altman.
