The United States published on Sunday a “security alert for global prudence” on Sunday, less than 24 hours before Iran launched a missile dam on an American military base in Qatar in retaliation for strikes from the Trump administration on its nuclear sites.
In a security alert published on Sunday evening, the US State Department said that it advised American citizens around the world “to be increased caution”.
“The conflict between Israel and Iran has led to travel disturbances and a periodic closure of airspace through the Middle East,” said the alert. “There is the potential for demonstrations against citizens and American interests abroad.”

The alert advises American citizens to consult their travel notice, its information on countries and all recent security alerts if travel planning.

The global alert, however, was only the last in a series of alerts proposed by the US State Department in recent days, including for Iraq, Jordan and Qatar.
On Monday morning, the United States government said that its Embassy in Qatar recommended a shelter from Americans in place until any notice “by abundance of prudence”.
Later in the day, the government of Qatar made the order to close its airspace.
Shortly after, Iran announced on state television that it had attacked the American forces stationed at the Al Udeid air base in Qatar, with a legend on the screen calling it “a powerful and successful response” to “American attack”.
Earlier Sunday, the ministry also published a security alert for Turkiye, saying that because of regional events that US government staff are warned to maintain a low profile.
“The negative feeling towards American foreign policy can cause actions against us and Western interests for Turkiye,” said the alert. “In the past, such activities have included demonstrations, calls to boycott American companies, anti-American rhetoric and graffiti.”
Sunday’s opinion comes when world leaders continue to express concerns about American launch attacks against Iranian nuclear sites, with the leader of the United Nations nuclear watchdog, saying that there were heavy damage to the installation of Fordo after bunker-business bombs were used in the attack.
Russian president Vladimir Putin also said on Monday that he thought that the involvement of countries outside the Middle East advanced the world towards a great danger, comments which came after having said to the Minister of Iran for Foreign Affairs that there was no justification for the American bombardment of Iran.

During the hours that followed the American strikes, many airlines have canceled more flights to various countries in the Middle East, Air France suspending thefts towards Tel Aviv on Monday until July 14 and Finnair canceling its routes to and from Doha, in Qatar, until Sunday.
Air Canada also suspended the service between Toronto and Dubai on Friday until July 3, while flights to Israel remain suspended until September 8.
