Head coach Shereka Wright said she believed that the team’s success was a key article in recruiting the trio, making the sisters want to buy in the program culture.

Kira Reynolds stressed the importance of playing college basketball with her sisters, which UTA helped them.

“I am a very family -oriented person. All my whole family, we are all very close, ”she said. “My sisters are my best friends. So when I went down to UTA, they are also focused on the family and had a very good comfortable feeling. ”

On January 4, the very tuned first year recorded the first five-year-old in the history of Indiana. Kira Reynolds recorded 14 points, 18 rebounds, 12 assists, 11 interceptions and 10 blocks.

The sisters each bring a unique play style to the court. Mila Reynolds, one in front of 6 feet 3 inches, can stretch the ground with her ability to “shoot the ball,” said Wright. Wright is delighted to see what she is doing for the team after treating with an injury a season ago.

Kira Reynolds called Amiyah Reynolds, the sister in the middle, the trio captain, with her basketball top. Wright described her as “Midragan Assassin”, a complement to the shooting skills of Mila Reynolds behind the arc.

Behind many sports families is a father who shares the spotlight. Steve Reynolds is the man behind the sense of sisters basketball, having trained them in high school and suggested that he could join Lady Mavericks coach staff.

“My father, for the most part, taught me literally everything I know, including my sisters,” said Kira Reynolds. “Being able to go to this next level and have it there with me, because it is there with me throughout the way, it also made me feel very safe.”

The signatures are massive not only for the women’s basketball program, but for all of UTA athletics. In addition to the level of talent that the team has acquired in the field, the signatures of this magnitude could influence other players to transfer to Arlington.
