The Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business, in collaboration with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, will offer a master’s program in financial technology, approved by the Iowa Board of Regents at their April meeting.
Delivered on campus, the new program is designed to meet the needs of current Iowa State University students and professionals. The program will forge a new interdisciplinary teaching and research path, with a multi-departure program encompassing financial analysis, calculation methods and commercial analysis.
The proposed diploma can be completed by following 10 courses – five in computer science and five in finance and commercial analysis.
Technology-oriented products such as mobile payments, digital portfolios, robo-advisers and cryptocurrencies are quickly integrated into the traditional financial world, which makes this diploma very precious for students and future employers.
