The 9th annual symposium of health professions (HPS), scheduled for April 12, offers students opportunities to explore careers in health care. The HPS, which was held on the North Campus of UNM in the Domenici Center for Health Sciences Education, is the biggest health career event of the New Mexico designed to offer students a chance to explore their passions, connect with professionals and discover paths to their future in health care.
The HPS offers a free practical experience for students interested in exploring career paths, connecting with professionals and having an overview of medical training. Registration is open For students interested in attending the symposium. Students must register before April 1.
There will be more than 90 workshops covering careers in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy and research. This is where participants can network with healthcare professionals, learn graduate students and obtain initiate advice on medical demands.
