Pope Francis celebrates the 12th anniversary of his pontificate with the medical staff of the Gemelli Hospital in Rome, while he continues to follow the annual spiritual exercises of the Roman Curia.

The Holy See Press Bureau has updated journalists on the state of the Pope on Thursday evening, when he marked the 12th anniversary of his election in the Papacy.
In the afternoon, the medical staff brought a cake with candles in the pope’s room.
The Pope also followed the spiritual exercises of the Roman Curia via a video link with the Paul VI room and resumed respiratory therapy.
It continues to alternate between non -invasive mechanical ventilation at night and high speed oxygenation with nasal cannulas during the day.
Its clinical situation remains stable in a complex state. A new medical bulletin is expected on Friday evening.
Pope Francis was admitted to the Gemelli Hospital in Rome on February 14 to receive treatment for bilateral pneumonia.
