Plans to sell Frisco ‘The historic city center before the World Cup next year requests business owners to request the city’s help to stay open.
The city center of Frisco, called the rail district, will be revitalized with the main improvements in streets and sidewalks. The objective is to make the city center very accessible on foot, with wider sidewalks, landscaping and lighting.
But the owners of small businesses who are created here fear that the long impact of construction will lead them to bankruptcy before seeing it finished.
Rod Smith is the most voice of those who said that his hair salon, called Brooklyn Cutz, was suffocated by construction.
“We are vibrant – noted number one in the past four years in the DFW Metroplex,” said Smith. “I have a plethora of customers from all backgrounds.”
It was before the start of major renovations on Main Street, which continue to date.
He said there was a recent period of two weeks in which customers did not have access through his gateway and had to park in temporary land behind the city center.

The construction project of rue Main began in July 2024 and since then Smith said that he had to separate from six employees due to the negative impact he had on his company.
Smith thought that his hair salon in downtown Frisco would be there for many years. But the owner of the store, including the list of customers of star athletes includes Luka Donicsaid he will have to stop soon and move.
“If the city came to give us a subsidized lease for a few months, let’s take our breath, it would be good,” said Smith. “But they didn’t give anything.”
FRISCO’s engineering director Jason Brodigan said that the City knows that companies were suffering and created a temporary parking for customers behind the city center, as well as the creation of people with stores to stores.
“It was difficult for several companies, but all we are asking for is cooperation,” said Brodigan. “Let us know what your problems are. We will do our best to help you with regard to the construction we can manage.”
This project should be completed in January before the World Cup arrived in northern Texas. The nearby Toyota Stadium should organize Frisco practices and hotels welcome teams and fans.
