International Entertainment Buyers Association has appointed Brian Wagner for its executive director, Musicrow.com Reports.
Wagner replaces Pam Matthews, who retired after leaving the organization based in Berry Hill for more than 10 years.
Wagner brings the role of around 30 years of experience involving the management of artists, the promotion of concerts and the reservation. Musicrow.com reports He founded FlashPoint Entertainment, helping to start Nashville’s live music places The Mernge, Cannery Ballroom (now all part of Cannery Hall) and BB King’s Blues Club (which closed Nashville in 2020).
In 2006, Wagner started work marketing for Ryman Auditorium then owner of Gaylord Entertainment Company. In 2014, he was appointed assistant marketing commissioner for the Tennessee tourism development department. His work on the brand campaign “The Soundtrack of America – Made in Tennessee” involved collaborations with Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, Jack White and Les Roots, Musicrow.com Reports.
Wagner joins the employees of the IEBA, Lori Bowman (who sat on the IEBA board of directors from 2011 to 2016 and was appointed director of events in 2022) and Jason Conner (Director of Operations of the Association).
The 55th annual IEBA conference will take place from October 5 to 7, 2025 to Grand Hyatt Nashville with agency celebrations to be held in Nashville Yards Live Music Le Pinnacle.
