The NCAA has lost its common sense, as well as its spine.
One day after President Donald Trump published an executive decree Prohibit transgender women to play sports, The NCAA threw the handful of them to the wolves. In doing so, however, the president of the NCAA, Charlie Baker and Co., inadvertently revealed what farce is really.
While prohibiting transgender women in competition, The edict of the NCAA Late Thursday, said they could still train with the women’s teams. Players of male practice are always allowed. What is funny because the physical security of Cisgenres women is one of the “reasons” that transphobes have used to justify their efforts to prohibit transgender women.
So what is it? If transgender women represent a physical threat during the games, wouldn’t they also do it during training? And it wouldn’t that men not practice players? If transgender women are really only cunning men who seek to prepare and attack women, could they not yet do that? Couldn’t male players do this too?
It is the circular logic. But a malicious circular logic which will only be diabolized more the transgender athletes “less than 10” there in the NCAA.
Excellent work, Charlie. Do not break your arm by typing your back for what you have described as “clarity”, when it is really cowardice, sacrificing the already vulnerable children so that the president and his servants do not put you on their list enemies.
There was a time when the NCAA was intrepid by resonating the bigotry. He refused to play championship events in South Carolina for almost 15 years because the state continued to embrace racism, piloting a confederate flag above the state. He torn off northern Carolina events for a bill that forced transgender people to use sex bathrooms attributed to them at birth.
And when Indiana promulgated a bill for “religious freedom” which was only a coverage to allow discrimination against gays and lesbians, the NCAA then president Mark Emmert’s energetic denunciation led to a walkback in a few days.
“The National Office of the NCAA and our members are deeply determined to provide an inclusive environment for all our events,” said Emmert at the time. “We are particularly concerned about the way this legislation could affect our students and our employees.”
My, how times have changed. Now the only concern of NCAA is to cover her ass.
Transphobes want you to believe that there is an army of transgender women who strike the doors of each gymnasium and each ground, at all levels of sport. They want you to believe that these athletes are superhumans, so much so that they will end up bringing the cisgenres women out of sport. They want you to believe that transgender women are a threat to the body and the virtue of your daughters.
Rather than buying in hysteria, take a step back. You parents of girls in sports for young people, how many transgender children do you know in your daughter’s team or in her league? Know in fact, not only suppose because someone has short hair or you heard gossip. You, university athletes, how many transgender athletes have you met in your career?
The International Olympic Committee and the NCAA had protocols allowing transgender participation for more than a decade. And, the last time I checked, Cisgenres women are still in competition. Always standing on podiums with medals around their neck. Hysteria is exactly that – hysteria.
And don’t get started on science. Or his absence. To assert that transgender women have an advantage because Cisgenres men do it is both inaccurate and lazy. To find out how transgender women compare themselves to cisgenres women, you must actually compare them, and there are very few studies. The one who showed These are transgender women who could be disadvantaged.

Another view:As a mom, I support Trump’s movements to protect women
This fear, this wickedness, this witch hunt has always been a solution in search of a problem. Transgender women are not a threat. They are not ogres. They don’t go beyond sports now or never.
These are girls and young women who want to compete and play with their friends, like girls and young women cisgenres, and the NCAA tells them to leave. That they are not welcome. That he believes all the horrible things that transphobes have said about them.
“The schools (are) directed to promote welcoming environments on all campuses,” said the title of NCAA.
Oh, I’m sure it will make “less than 10” – again, Baker’s own words – Transgender athletes feel so much better now! The NCAA offers transgender athletes the equivalent of thoughts and prayers after having thrown them under the bus and encouraging transphobes to double their efforts to completely eradicate them from the company.
Because that’s really what it is. The Trump administration is trying to ensure that there is no safe space for transgender people outside their home. Not in the army, not at work, not in doctor’s offices and now on playgrounds.
Part of the power of sport is that they teach us life lessons. Unfortunately, the NCAA has made intolerance and ignorance are now among them.
