The Farm Primate Sanctuary sanctuary in the canton of Brock, Ontario, is looking for financial aid after a ice storm Eliminated the power and stopped its electric water pump.

The installation houses Darwin, a famous Japanese macaque spotted in a North York Ikea in 2012.

“We lost power on Saturday. Fortunately we have generators, however, we have no water,” said volunteer Jaqcualine Waldorf recently.

Waldorf said that employees and volunteers were speaking overtime and brought bottled water from neighboring stores.

“It is a lot to bring more water. It’s heavy, ”she said.

“Not being able to do the laundry has been difficult. Not being able to do dishes has been particularly difficult. ”
