“Many of us have come out individually and have spoken to the manufacturer,” said Henry. “We all received the same message. The engineers knew the sound, they looked at the sound, they determined that it operated in the design, and that the city (of Calgary) passed it. So there is nothing that they can or would do for us. ”

“We had street noise here, we agree with this perfectly. We accept that this is part of life,” said Henry. “If you are going to build new buildings with high occupation like this, which I think that the city needs them, they must consider the communities in which they enter.”

Dimitra Gray describes noise as plans that are constantly landing.

“If I went out to sit here or talk on the phone, I had to shout on the phone,” said Gray. “It was just constantly. It looked like planes that are constantly landing.”

The city of Calgary confirmed in a declaration to Global News that he was investigating complaints and provided information on the noise statutes.

The night is defined as from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. on weekdays and from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m. on weekends and holidays. ”
