Amanda Higginbotham, a dedicated real estate agent at Keller Williams Platinum Realty, has a lasting impact on Stem education in the reading community. In 2024, she undertook to donate part of the revenue of each sale of houses to the Reading Science Center, and she is delighted to announce that her contributions have now exceeded $ 3,000 – funds that will go directly to the expansion of the Reading Science Center cell laboratory.
“As a parent, see my daughter, that of Jaxon, excitement for animals and everything related to science has deepened my appreciation of the impact of practical learning,” said Higginbotham. “Reading Science Center was an incredible resource for our community, especially in the inspiration of young girls to explore Stem. Supporting the expansion of the Neag cell laboratory was an easy decision because I believe that it is necessary to restore and invest in opportunities that arouse curiosity and innovation in future generations. ”
Reading Science Center exists to promote a love of science thanks to an exciting and experimental stem education for the largest reading community, especially young people. On Sunday May 4, the Reading Science Center will host its second annual day Celebrate Science from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Drexel University College of Medicine in Tower Health. This event promises exciting experiences, interactive exhibitions and many opportunities to dive into the world of science.
The Reading Science Center offers the larger reading community with scientific experiences and educational programs. Thanks to interactive exhibitions, field trips and awareness programs, the center aims to ignite love for life for science among learners of all ages.
“I could not have done this without my incredible customers and supporters – you make this possible,” added Higginbotham. “If you are thinking of buying or selling a house, let’s do this and keep making a difference together.”
Higginbotham’s philanthropic commitment has won the praise of the management of Keller Williams, notably Susan McFadden, operational director / owner of Keller Williams Platinum Realty. “The dedication of Amanda to give back to the community is really inspiring,” said McFadden. “His generosity is not only to help families find their dream houses, but also to shape the future of young spirits in STEM. We are incredibly proud of his efforts and we can’t wait to see how his continuous support will benefit the Reading Science Center in the years to come. ”
While looking in 2025, Higginbotham remains determined to use her real estate success to stimulate a positive change in the community. Those interested in buying or selling a house with a goal can connect with it to support this mission while making their own real estate dreams a reality.
“For 2025, I am so excited to continue supporting the Reading Science Center with donations from each sale of houses,” said Higginbotham.
