The Legislative Session of Georgia fails to address access to reproductive health care, by deepening the care crisis
The GOP has targeted trans health care while not extending Medicaid, protecting rural hospitals or approaching the georgia care crisis, while while anti-abortion and anti-iff proposals are looming.
Atlanta, Ga— While the legislative session of the 2025 State is affecting an end of freedom of reproduction for all of Georgia sounds the alarm that the State faces a care crisis which has been aggravated by anti-abortion and anti-trans-transformation legislation that GOP has brought. Georgia has one of The worst records of the country for health resultsAnd yet, the GOP has chosen to adopt a bill which removes access to medically necessary health care for transcribed people. Meanwhile, legislators did not allow the hearings of the Freedom Act reproductive, access to fertility and critical efforts to suppress false pregnancy centers.
The GOP refused to develop Medicaid, leaving 18 rural hospitals at risk of closing and pregnant people through careless Georgia. Instead, they have pushed legislation that criminalizes false layers, blocks access to IVF and sexual care and makes families more difficult for families they need to survive.
Alicia Stallworth, reproductive freedom for all‘s Director of Georgia campaigns, Posted the following declaration:
“”Let’s be clear: this crisis did not occur by accident. It’s a choice. A choice to limit individual freedoms and bodies of control instead of ensuring that people can live a safe and healthy life. It was an intentional choice of the GOP to stifle the financing of hospitals while giving $ 2 million in public funds to false health clinics. A choice to attack trans people and criminalize pregnant people instead of finance real health care solutions. The inhabitants of Georgia deserve better, and we will make sure that voters know that the GOP is to blame. »»
