Nicholas Galitzine was forced to practice an extreme fitness and diet routine for his role in the new film, Masters of the Universe.
The 30-year-old will play the comic book character “He-Man”, considered the strongest man in the universe.
To play this role, Nicholas is forced to make compromises. He consumes 4,000 calories a day and does a lot of weight lifting.
Mary and George the star detailed her major lifestyle changes in a chat with W Magazine.
“No pressure, I just have to play the strongest man in the universe,” added Galitzine, 30.
He continued: “There was a lot of eating and weight lifting, a lot of stunts. I eat about 4,000 calories a day, but given the amount of physical work I do, you end up feeling hungry at the end of the day, which is quite surprising. That’s the fun part.
However, the British actor will eventually have to enter the cutting phase as well for which he will have to starve.
“I’ll eventually get into what’s called the cutting phase, where I’ll be starving and so rude to everyone. I can only apologize for the person I will become in a few months,” Nicholas said.
Masters of the Universe will also feature Idris Elba in a central role. It is expected to hit theaters in June 2026.
