Fort Bend County, a rapidly growing suburban area southwest of Houston, reported a case of measles on Sunday.
“I want to reassure our community that we are working in close collaboration with health and social services to keep everyone informed,” said Fort Bend county judge Kp George, in a press release. “Your safety and well-being remain my absolute priority. I urge all residents to check their vaccination files, to be vaccinated if necessary and to remain vigilant for the symptoms. Together, we can protect our families, our neighbors and the community of the Grand Fort Bend.”
Fort Bend Comté’s health officials said they are tracing contacts to identify any exhibitions.
“We want to reassure residents that our public health team actively conducts investigations on cases and notifies potential contacts,” said Dr. Gale-How, local director and health authority for the health and social services of the County of Fort Bend. “The best way to protect yourself and protect yourself is by the vaccination vaccination. The MMR (measles, mump and rubella vaccine) is safe, effective and offers strong measles protection. ”
