Five former prosecutors who worked on criminal cases arising from the attack of January 6, 2021 on the American Capitol urges the disciplinary office to the lawyers in Washington, DC, to open an investigation into the president Donald TrumpThe controversial choice is the best prosecutor in the district.

“These actions are not worthy of the Ministry of Justice, undermine the constitutional guarantee of equality of protection of law and violate the professional obligations of Mr. Martin,” said the letter.
Martin’s office refused CNN’s comments on the letter.
In addition to the five former prosecutors, the letter has also been signed by eminent conservative lawyers for the company for the rule of law, notably the retired federal judge J. Michael Luttig, the former representative Barbara Comstock, the lawyer George Conway, and Stuart Gerson, a lawyer who occupied roles in the Department of Justice under the presidents George Hw Bush and Clinton.

“Almost 20 years later, the Americans do not trust our electoral systems,” he wrote. “One of the best ways to restore this confidence is to protect our systems and ask for responsibility.”
And he launched an investigation into the prosecutors who brought accusations of obstruction under the American code 1512 (C) against certain rioters who were finally launched due to a Decision of the Supreme Court Last summer.
The letter also details the representation by Martin of the accused who were prosecuted by the Ministry of Justice of President Joe Biden for their involvement in the attack of the Capitol. “Collectively, Mr. Martin’s actions threaten to undermine the integrity of the American prosecutor’s office and the legal profession in the Columbia district,” the group told the disciplinary council. “The reputation of our community depends on a rapid and in -depth investigation into Mr. Martin’s violations of his professional obligations.”
Meanwhile, Capitol Hill’s Democrats have accelerated their efforts to block Martin’s confirmation.
Senator Adam Schiff of California recently announced that he was taking a grip on the appointment of Martin.
“I hope that the Republicans will do their job. This man is not qualified, he abused the powers of this office. He supported the strongest case you can do to be rejected for this position,” said Schiff, a member of the Senate’s judicial committee.
