An old high level Edmonton police service The member who has spent many years in the homicide section has been accused of having disclosed advice to city journalists.
On Tuesday, EPS said that the retirement sergeant for staff. William (Bill) Clark was accused of violating confidence “in relation to the publication of unauthorized and confidential survey information with the media.”
EPS did not say what information would have led by Clark or to whom.
Police said Clark illegally shared confidential and investigation information. During his stay with the homicide unit, Clark was a frank detective who gave frank interviews.
Clark was a 44 -year -old EPS member and retired on May 10, 2024.

Edmonton police said that his investigation was carried out by the Directorate of Force Professional Standards with monitoring of the ASIRTA serious incident team (ASIRT).
It was then examined by the prosecution services of the Alberta Crown in Calgary to determine if criminal accusations were justified.
EPS said these prosecutors have recommended that Clark be accused of a defendant of confidence violation.
The case is now before the courts and the police said that no other detail could be provided.
